The group was established in 2002, with the founding of its parent company, CapitaLand Development Ltd. (CDL), which has a financial banking A+ rating, among leading real estate companies specializing in residential and commercial projects.

WHO WE ARE

With multiple residential and commercial projects completed all over Dhaka, CDL has delivered in various market segments — from purely upmarket residential, midmarket residential-cum-commercial buildings, boutique high-end shopping malls, mega commercial malls and entertainment centers, to top-of-the-line commercial office addresses in Bangladesh. Many of these projects are the first of their kind and always in excellent locations. We are market leaders in real estate, not followers in the industry. We are pioneers in this industry and aim to always stay ahead of the curve. CDL was one of the first developers to complete a fully commercial boutique shopping mall on Gulshan Avenue, Molly Capita Centre, which remains a prominent landmark in the city’s most prestigious location. We are also the first developer to build super luxurious 8000 sq.ft apartments in Baridhara Diplomatic Zone, North Dhaka. Our most recently completed project, Capita International Times Square in Tongi, bordering Uttara in North Dhaka, is designed to be one of the largest shopping, entertainment and lifestyle destinations in the city.

CDL’s portfolio of work is uniquely different from other developers as it incorporates the BOO (Build-Own-Operate) approach. The company owns and manages most of its developed commercial portfolio of over 1M sq. ft and growing, thereby making it one of the largest commercial asset holders among real estate developers in Bangladesh.

Under the guidance, vision and leadership of its Managing Director, Mukarram Husain Khan, a former President of the Real Estate Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB), CDL and Capita Group have grown to be a well-respected prominent business entity delivering quality services and products in Bangladesh and beyond.
